Privacy Policy
The short version: there is no account and no sign-up. Your progress stays on your device. We collect a little anonymous information about how the game is used (you can switch it off in Settings). The ads in the app are optional and run by Google. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, with RevenueCat keeping track of them for us.
Who we are
Ice Hole is an ice fishing game published by the developer named on its store listing. Questions about this policy: info@saryal.com.
What stays on your device
Your coins, gear, catches, records, settings and any purchases you have made are saved on your device only. We do not have your save and cannot see it. In the mobile app the save is also copied to the app's own private storage on your device so that it survives the phone clearing its web cache. Deleting the app deletes this data.
What we collect
Anonymous play statistics. The game can record which screens are reached, how long sessions last, whether a catch was made, and which offers were opened. Each install gets a random identifier. There is no name, email address, account, location, contact list, advertising ID or device fingerprint in these statistics. If a link that brought you to the game carried a short label (for example the name of a group that shared it) that label is recorded too. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → "Don't share". When the game is built without an analytics destination, nothing is sent at all. If your device has no signal, the statistics wait on your device and are sent later.
Ads
The mobile app can show optional rewarded video ads: you choose to watch one in return for a bonus. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and use data from your device such as your IP address, device and advertising identifiers, and how you interact with ads, as described in Google's advertising policy and Google's privacy policy.
- Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and some US states) the app first shows a consent message. If you decline, no ads are requested. You can review your choice later from Settings → Ad privacy settings where your region requires that option.
- On iPhone and iPad the app asks permission before any tracking, as Apple requires. You can say no, and you can change your mind in the device's Settings.
- You can also limit ad personalisation in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
Purchases
Optional purchases (coin packs and the Ice Fisher's Kit) are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check purchases and to let you restore them on a new device. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and the details of your purchase, as described in its privacy policy.
Who receives data
| Who | Why | What |
|---|---|---|
| Google (AdMob) | Optional rewarded ads | Device and advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, subject to your consent choices |
| RevenueCat | Purchase checking and restore | Anonymous app user ID, purchase details |
| Apple / Google Play | Taking payment | Whatever the store needs to process your purchase |
| Analytics service | Anonymous play statistics (optional, can be switched off) | Random install ID and the events described above |
We do not sell your personal information.
Children
Ice Hole is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will help.
Your choices and rights
- Switch off play statistics: Settings → "Don't share".
- Change ad consent: Settings → Ad privacy settings (where shown), or your device's ad settings.
- Delete your data: uninstall the app. Because the anonymous statistics are not linked to your name, we cannot look up your records, but you can ask us about them using the address above.
- Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its use. Contact us and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
